Great phone, works well when in range of a wifi network (required)--unless you need to use a web browser page to log in-- which is a deal breaker.
The reason for the lower rating derives from the increasing usefulness of such devices as the ipod touch.

GREAT PHONE FOR THE PRICE
I purchased this phone for use as a home phone. The phone is great! It has a bigger display then my old cell phone :) It is super easy to use and connects perfectly with my WiFi network. I have a quite secured WiFi network (Windows XP has trouble connecting, but this phone went right through.

BELKIN WI-FI PHONE
I have been able to connect to a few hotspots, but whenever I dial a telephone number it comes up invalid. I have not been able, my own lack of ability, to actual make a call as of yet to truly rate this product.

BELKIN SKYPE PHONE.. IT'S OK
The phone is just okay.. Not nearly as good as calling through the computer.. it drops calls all the time, even if you are standing next to the router. It also freezes all the time and has to be reset to work. With that said, for the price it's ok. Nothing to write home about, but it'll do.
